Motorola has finally confirmed that the Edge 50 Neo 5G will indeed come to India and it is scheduled for a launch at Flipkart on September 16, with sales starting at 12 PM. The company also stated that the phone would debut in four color options targeted at the Indian market. The Edge 50 Neo 5G has already been launched in the global market and comes equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity chipset.

The Upcoming Motorola Edge 50 Neo

The speculated Indian launch of Motorola Edge 50 Neo could happen soon, as teased by the X account on Motorola India. The teaser confirms the Pantone color options to launch alongside this phone—Nautical Blue, Latte Green, and Grisaille Magenta—just like on that global model. It also confirms the sale of this device through Flipkart in India.

The Edge 50 Neo 5G gets a massive, pOLED panel measuring 6.4-inch with support for up to 120Hz refresh rate with 1.5K resolution, a peak brightness of 3,000 nits, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, and a 360Hz touch sampling rate. There is also Gorilla Glass 3 protection on the display which houses an in-display fingerprint sensor.

It comes with a 32MP front camera for selfies. It packs a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC, paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 512GB of UFS3.1 internal storage. A 68W fast wired and a 15W wireless charging are backed by the smartphone alongside a huge 4,310mAh battery. The triple rear camera setup includes a 50MP f/1.8 primary sensor with OIS, a 13MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle lens with PDAF, and a 10MP f/2.0 telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom.

The Edge 50 Neo 5G comes with Android 14 out of the box and is set to receive five Android OS upgrades, a first for any Motorola handset. It also features Moto AI capabilities. Connectivity options include Bluetooth v5.3, Wi-Fi 6E, NFC, GPS, and a USB-C port for charging. The device boasts an IP68 rating and includes stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.

In Europe, the Edge 50 Neo 5G starts at €499 (approximately ₹46,500), which may seem high when directly converted to INR given its specifications. In India, it’s expected to be priced below ₹30,000, positioning it against competitors like the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus, iQOO Z9s Pro, and others.
