Giovanni Lo Celso could be on his way back to Real Betis from Tottenham in the coming days. The Spanish side is pushing to sign the attacking midfielder as the direct replacement for Nabil Fekir.
With only one year remaining on his contract with Spurs, he could be offloaded on a permanent transfer this summer. The has spent five years on Tottenham’s books, but hasn’t been able to establish himself as a starter, being sent out on loan several times.

Lo Celso’s expected to leave Spurs in the final days and negotiations can now start as Nabil Fekir is on his way out.

The Argentine spent the 2018-19 season on loan in white and green, and made 45 appearances for them, scoring 16 goals and providing six assists. He also spent a season and a half with Villarreal, but it wasn’t as productive for him with the Yellow Submarine.
Having impressed before for Real Betis, it will be interesting to see if Giovanni Lo Celso can find his best form there again. With former Real Madrid veteran Isco there to mentor him, it could be a game-changing decision for Betis to bring in the 28-year-old.
It now remains to be seen if they can agree a deal with Spurs to re-sign the midfielder in the coming days.
