Marcelo Brozovic has announced his retirement from international football, with his last appearance for Croatia coming at Euro 2024. The midfielder made 99 appearances for the national team, and was influential in helping them make it to the 2018 World Cup final.
After being one of the most prominent players on the field over the past 10 years, he has now revealed that he will not be continuing further. However, veteran Luka Modric remains active as the captain of the Croatian national team and of Real Madrid for the time being.

Daley Blind has also announced his retirement from the Netherlands national team. The versatile defender has played in central defence and left-back, and has gone on to make 108 appearances for his country.
He made his debut in 2013, and has since gone on to become an important player in the squad. At 34 years of age, the Girona defender is now set to focus only on club football. He helped his club to a Champions League spot this past season, and will now play in the competition again.
