Jamshedpur FC have confirmed the return of Stephen Eze on a two-year deal till 2026. The defender previously spent the 2020-21 season with the Men of Steel, which was when the league was exclusively played in Goa owing to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 6’4″ central defender played all 1,800 minutes of the ISL when he was with Jamshedpur FC in his first spell, scoring an impressive four goals. He was very dominant in the air, and was a menace in 1v1 situations as well.

“I am ecstatic to be back at Jamshedpur FC, a club that has always felt like home to me although my first season was different in the bubble in Goa during covid. So I am excited to now play in our real home at the Furnace. I want to build on my previous experience from ISL and contribute to help team succeed in the ISL. I am excited to be in Jamsedpur and get started,” the Nigerian told Jamshedpur FC’s official site.
Since leaving JFC last time around, Eze played for NK Solin in Croatia and Queen’s Park in Scotland. He most recently played for Quang Nam in Vietnam, and now returns to the ISL to join an exciting squad under Khalid Jamil.
The colossal defender will wear the number 6 shirt and will join the club for their pre-season shortly. He becomes the fourth foreign signing for the club this season, and is likely the direct replacement for Elsinho, who left for Chennaiyin FC at the start of the transfer window.
