Tipster @TheGalox_ confirms that Samsung is to launch a slimmer variant of Galaxy Z Fold 6 and its flip series in the month of October in China as Samsung W25 and W25 Flip.
Is this schedule for the Chinese market or other global regions? That is not made clear in the post on X. In addition to being larger, lighter, and thinner than the Galaxy Z Fold 6, the forthcoming foldable phone is rumored to have a titanium frame and not support the S Pen.
Galaxy Z Fold 6 (Samsung W25 | W25 Flip) details and features
A slimmer and lighter variant of the Z Fold 6 smartphone, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim will not support the SPen, according to Ice Universe. The Samsung W25 will be the name of this device’s Chinese launch. The leaked information also states that the smartphone will launch in October, however, it is unclear if it will be sold as the Samsung W25 or the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim.
The Samsung W series of smartphones, for those who may not know, are only available in China. This premium rebranding of Samsung’s most recent Galaxy Z series devices is the result of a partnership with China Telecom.
The Galaxy Z Fold 6 is expected to come with a triple camera configuration on the back: a 12-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera, a 10-megapixel telephoto camera, and a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera from Samsung. A 4-megapixel camera beneath the display and a 10-megapixel camera on the cover are rumored to be included. With a 25W charging speed, it could hold a 4,400mAh battery.
Contributions to charitable causes are made possible by the sales of Samsung W series devices. The Samsung W24 and W24 Flip were introduced by the company last year; they were essentially renamed Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 smartphones with an opulent appearance.
The Galaxy W25, according to the leaker, will be lighter and smaller than the Z Fold 6 standard. This could be the effect of Samsung supposedly removing the digitizer layer underneath the screen and abandoning support for the S Pen on the Galaxy W25.
