Motorola Razr 50 Series and Motorola S50 Neo Set to Launch on June 25

Motorola has now taken the wraps off the Razr 50 series and it is finally here to announce the next-gen foldable from the Lenovo-owned company. In other words, the Motorola Razr 50 and Motorola Razr 50 Ultra will follow in the footsteps of the Razr 40 and Razr 40 Ultra. Lenovo China has now also confirmed that the company will introduce Motorola S50 Neo masks at the event.

More About the Motorola Razr 50 Series and Motorola S50 Neo

As per a post on Weibo microblogging platform, Motorola will hold a launch event in China for the Motorola Razr (2022) and Motorola S50 Neo on June 25. The event will begin at 2 pm local time (11:30 am IST). There may also be some advancements in AI, matching those in most of the 2019 flagships.

The certifications of both the Motorola Razr 50 series and the Motorola S50 Neo have been listed on Lenovo’s official website in China already, which provides clues into their hardware and design. In the case of the Motorola S50 Neo, you get a curved OLED display with a hole punch cutout for the front-facing camera in the middle.

As per the listing on the company’s website, the Motorola S50 Neo will be available in black, blue, and green color options. The Vivo X90 Pro comes with four rear cameras with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 sensor featuring optical image stabilization (OIS) as the primary lens. This phone is expected to be backed by a 5,000mAh battery and come with a slim 7.59mm thick body.

Earlier sightings on Geekbench revealed the Motorola Razr 50’s specifications, which include a MediaTek Dimensity 7300X chipset, 8GB of RAM, and the upcoming Android 14 operating system. Expected features comprise a 4,200mAh battery with 33W fast charging, a 6.9-inch pOLED inner display with 120Hz refresh rate, a 3.6-inch OLED cover screen, and a dual rear camera setup.

In contrast, leaks suggest that the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra will run on a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. It is rumored to feature a 6.9-inch main OLED screen and a 2-inch cover screen. Additionally, it might offer dual 50-megapixel rear cameras and a 4,000mAh battery with 68W wired charging capabilities.
