The Mahindra XUV3OX will turn out to be one of the most anticipated cars in the very crowded sub 4m SUV segment, posing a stiff challenge to the segment toppers. CNG versions: Meanwhile, recent test mules indicate Fiat is once again assessing the viability of a CNG version of the 500X. But what about a performance-oriented model? That is what Bimble Designs has envisaged.
More About the Mahindra XUV3XO Sports Edition
The Mahindra XUV3XO has been making quite a noise since its launch earlier this month and for a good reason. It comes with many best in class and segment first features, such as soft touch plastics in the interior giving it a lot of focus too. But opinion on the XUV3XO’s aesthetics is divided, with some liking its bold design. Using these striking design elements as inspiration is Bimble Designs who has come up with what they refer to as the Mahindra XUV3XO Sports Edition.
The concept edition of the Sports Edition gets connected headlights with a slim LED DRL bar layout which add to the overall appeal of the car. Highlighted by carbon fiber front lip and splitter with red accents, this sends a very sporty vibe. All these vents, plus a few more on the bonnet that also benefits from a new carbon-fiber skin, contribute to the aggressive look.
Red pinstriping defines the shoulder line, and the wheel arches have been flared out and made from carbon fiber to accommodate the larger, centerlock-style wheels that are expected to be about 20 inches in diameter. Red brake calipers match the red accents in the alloy wheel design.
Adding to the sporty look are side skirts with red accents and the Subaru WRX STi’s trademark ground-hugging stance. While this interpretation of the sporty XUV3XO is slightly more subdued than the envisioned XUV300 TurboSport Widebody, it maintains an impressive aesthetic. Under the hood, the rear features a split roof spoiler and a sportier bumper made of forged carbon fiber.
Twin titanium exhaust tips add to the sporty appeal. To complete the package, it is hoped that the Mahindra XUV3XO Sports Edition would be powered by a 2.0L 4-cylinder Turbo Petrol engine, offering an upgrade from the stock 1.2L unit. This engine, also utilized in larger vehicles like the XUV700, Thar, and Scorpio N, has the potential to deliver up to 300 bhp, enhancing the vehicle’s performance.
