Reports suggest Tecno is developing a second-generation flip foldable phone. The Federal Communication Commission (FCC) website provides images of the Tecno Phantom V2 Flip. It will be the replacement for the V Flip that made its debut the previous year.
Tecno Phantom V2 Flip design and features
The next offering’s design schematics and other important features are disclosed in the certification listing. It appears that the Tecno Phantom V2 Flip will have a rectangular screen. While it may appear a little more uninteresting than the circular display of its predecessor, this one is considerably more useful because it has fewer limitations on the apps and widgets that can be shown on it.
A split battery is defined by the FCC as having a primary 3,310mAh cell and a secondary 1,180mAh cell. The entire capacity of the original V Flip was 4,000mAh, however this amounts to 4,490mAh (rated capacity; usual should be a bit more). Furthermore, the original charger peaked at 45W, while the maximum charging power is now 70W.
According to reports, the Tecno Phantom V2 Flip’s dimensions are 170×74×8 mm when it is unfurled and 85×74×16 mm when it is folded.
The Tecno Phantom V2 Flip was previously seen on the benchmarking site Geekbench in addition to FCC. It is anticipated to have an 8GB RAM configuration with a Dimensity 8020 processor. The phone receives 2,866 and 814 points respectively in the single- and multi-core test results.
The Tecno Phantom V2 Flip diagram that can be found on the previously stated FCC listing suggests a redesign. It is more plausible that the alleged smartphone will have a rectangular outside display rather than a circular cover screen with the camera and flash units around its perimeter. The camera and flash components are located in the upper left portion of the cover screen, oriented vertically.
Although there is currently no information available regarding the gadget’s processor, it is anticipated to be an update over the MediaTek Dimensity 8050 chipset that was previously present in the device.
