AOKZOE A2 Ultra Handheld Unveiled: Powered by Intel Core Ultra 7 CPU and More

Today, AOKZOE is celebrating the announcement of its new gaming handheld, the A2 Ultra, powered by Intel’s Core Ultra “Meteor Lake” CPU line, as the company has previously used AMD’s Phoenix processors. The introduction of the new device is influenced by the increasing frequency of incorporating Intel’s Core Ultra CPUs by hardware-makers, and AOZOE decided to follow this trend with the new device.

The A2 was the first gaming handheld developed by AOKZOE and ran an AMD Phoenix processor from the AOKZOE RX 5000/6000 series. Recognizing the new market shift and the increased importance of Intel’s Meteor Lake “Core Ultra” CPUs, AOKZOE introduced the A2 Ultra as the newest device.

In a recent teaser video uploaded on the Chinese platform Weibo by AOKZOE, it was revealed that the A2 Ultra would be powered by Intel’s Core Ultra 7 SoC. While the specific SKU was not shared, industry observers believe that it might be the Core Ultra 7 155H or even a higher SKU. However, after the 155H SOCs’ successful entry into the market via MSI’s Claw handheld, it is very likely that it will be chosen.

This is to highlight the exceptional generation gap between Intel’s strategic advantage over AMD’s Phoenix and Hawk Point APUs. Furthermore, AOKZOE has shared its 3DMark test results on the A2 Ultra which generated an impressive overall score of 4,169 at a 35W TDP versus its closest competitors. The white appliance with black onboard knobs is perfectly matched by joysticks illuminated by an RGB light, further improving the beauty and utility of the device.

In terms of availability, according to the AOKZOE website, the AOKZOE A2 Ultra should be available in local markets as of April 14, 2023. This contrasts with the $699 price of the MSI Claw, so the device will likely be priced in a similar price position. Overall, AOKZOE will launch its product utilizing the most advanced Intel technology to be a significant component in the handheld gaming market.
