The recently unveiled teaser of Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2 has swiftly garnered widespread attention since its release a few days ago.
Now, the creators have unveiled the first lead for the April 19th release, transgender actor Bonita Rajpurohit. Portraying the character of Kulu, Rajpurohit shared her personal journey in a newly published video on the Instagram account of Balaji Telefilms.
Bonita Rajpurohit’s Journey From Small Town Origins to Leading Bollywood Role
As the lead in the video, Bonita Rajpurohit reveals her origins from a small town in Rajasthan, accompanied by images of her family. She reflects on her realization that individuals like herself could also have a significant presence in the world of cinema. Previously employed at a production company, she recounts earning approximately ₹10k to ₹15k monthly.
She continued, “My biggest motivation is seeing women like me on screen. To see the trans representation on screen. I never thought I would land an acting role and that I would get to play a lead in a Bollywood film. So, some dreams just come true.” She adds that she never even dreamt of getting an opportunity to act in a film.“
The actress expressed that the film provided her with an opportunity to confront her emotional triggers and share her personal narrative of perseverance and triumph against adversity. Dibakar Banerjee, the director of ‘LSD 2’, served as a mentor to Bonita in her acting journey. This film serves as a sequel to the 2010 sleeper hit ‘Love Sex Aur Dhokha’, which marked Dibakar’s third directorial venture after his initial successes with ‘Khosla Ka Ghosla’ and ‘Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!’, both of which received National Film Awards.
In the video, Bonita is depicted rehearsing for her scenes, with some sequences capturing a camera mounted on her head. There’s a poignant moment where the entire crew showers her with applause. Balaji Motion Pictures shared the video, captioning it: “In the city of dreams, Kulu found her calling. Meet KULU, our first lead of #LoveSexAurDhokha2, arriving in cinemas on 19th April!”
The teaser of LSD 2 delves into the repercussions of love and betrayal within contemporary society. The film delves into the intricacies of relationships, revealing the nuanced aspects of modern-day love in the age of the internet. Alongside Bonita Rajpurohit, the cast includes Mouni Roy, Tusshar Kapoor, Anu Malik, Swaroopa Ghosh, Swastika Mukherjee, Anupam Joardar, and Uorfi Javed.
Love Sex Aur Dhokha, released in 2010, was directed by Dibakar Banerjee and featured performances by Rajkummar Rao, Neha Chauhan, Anshuman Jha, Nushrratt Bharuccha, and others.

As LSD 2’s first dose hinted at its compelling and startling narrative, it also introduced the upcoming fresh talents. Today, the filmmakers are excited to unveil the second lead actor, Abhinav Singh, also known as Game Paapi.
LSD 2 promises to present a tale of love in the digital age, featuring a cast of new faces. Among the three distinct storylines explored in the film, one revolves around a gamer. With this in mind, the filmmakers have chosen to introduce a newcomer who perfectly embodies the essence of the character. Abhinav Singh will portray the role of Game Paapi.
The production team has released behind-the-scenes footage showcasing Abhinav’s preparation for his character. From studying videos to sculpting his physique and adopting the mannerisms of a YouTuber, Abhinav and the team conducted extensive research to authentically portray the essence of a gamer. Despite lacking a background in the film industry, Abhinav secured his role solely based on his auditions.
Selecting a newcomer like Abhinav posed a challenge for the filmmakers, as they sought an actor who could convincingly portray a teenager while also exuding the maturity of an adult. Meeting the demands of the character required rigorous auditions, ultimately leading to Abhinav’s selection.
