Wolves’ FA Cup run was brought to a screeching halt by Coventry City, with Pedro Neto limping off the field to add insult to injury. The Midlands club were eliminated in the quarter finals, as they lost 3-2 at home to the underdogs.
But more importantly, they have now lost one of their key players for the remainder of the season. Head coach Gary O’Neil confirmed after the game that the injury sustained by Neto didn’t look good, and he could be out until the end of the season.

The winger has missed a considerable part of the season through injury, and another blow to his fitness will be a major obstacle to overcome. Wolves, however, will potentially miss out on a chance to battle for European spots, now that they are safe from relegation after the arrival of the new head coach.
O’Neil revealed that the issue Pedro Neto is facing is the same one he returned from a while back, but it is on the other leg this time around. And while the previous recovery schedule took nine weeks, it could take longer for the player this time.
The Portuguese forward has shown plenty of potential when he is on the pitch for Wolves. But injuries have massively hindered his ability to contribute over the past few seasons, and he will now have to return to the medical room to patch things up before the new season begins.
