Central Coast Mariners rain riot against Odisha FC in Gosford, earning a huge advantage heading into the second leg of the AFC Cup ASEAN Zone semifinals. The return leg of the fixture will be played at the Kalinga Stadium, and it will pit the ISL club as massive underdogs with very little chance of a comeback.

Mikael Doka took the spotlight with two goals and an assist, while the other two goals came from Storm Roux and Ronald Barcellos.

Odisha FC only had one shot on target throughout the game, and barely tested the opposition keeper. In contrast, the Mariners were able to dictate the pace of the game and took 6 shots on target out of 17 in total.

The hosts didn’t take long to establish their dominance in the contest and were all over Odisha FC right from the word go. The Indian Super League (ISL) side’s defense struggled in the first half but was let off the hook on multiple occasions as the Mariners’ forwards kept on wasting chances. But the scoreline doesn’t lie, and it ended in a massive win for the hosts.
