Samsung pleasantly surprised customers with the launch of the Galaxy Fit 3 its fitness smartwatch designed to attract those looking for advanced fitness tracking features and long battery life. The Galaxy Fit 3 which comes with a display and a range of functions is scheduled to be released worldwide tomorrow. However, at the moment the Korean technology giant has not revealed pricing information.
More About the Galaxy Fit 3
In terms of specs, the Galaxy Fit 3 features a 1.6-inch AMOLED screen, a 45% increase, in size compared to its predecessor. It has a button on the side and offers an easy one-click quick-release system for changing bands. Interestingly the watch uses a two-pin Pogo charger at its base for wireless charging.
Setting itself apart from models the Galaxy Fit 3 now supports Fall Detection and Emergency SOS features with Emergency SOS activated by pressing the button five times to notify chosen emergency contacts of your whereabouts. Samsung boasts about the battery life of the Galaxy Fit 3 stating it can run, up to 13 days on one charge thanks to its 208 mAh battery.
Nevertheless, it’s crucial to note that the Galaxy Fit 3 does not come with Wear OS and a user-friendly interface. Instead, it provides features such, as Calendar, Weather, World Clock, and fitness tracking options.
While focusing on fitness monitoring, the Galaxy Fit 3 compromises on GPS functionality to reduce costs by requiring users to depend on a linked smartphone for tracking movement. Nevertheless, the device offers a wide array of workout types, sleep pattern tracking, step counting, and stress level monitoring, among other features, accessible both on the tracker itself and through the Samsung Health app.
Available in grey, pink gold, and silver variants, the Galaxy Fit 3 will debut in Asia, Europe, Central America, and South America, with plans for a subsequent release in the United States and Korea.
