Kylian Mbappe has been linked with a move to Real Madrid this summer once again, with the player reportedly giving his word to the Spanish side that he will join them at the end of the season. And while there hasn’t been any official confirmation on the issue, the report comes from Le Parisien, a publication that often aligns with PSG.
The attacker is reportedly willing to sacrifice a loyalty bonus worth €80 million to leave the club. In addition, there was also a massive fallout between the player and the management this past summer over his decision to not extend the contract beyond this summer, as part of the one-year extension clause that was present on his side.
Kylian Mbappe wary of not ruining PSG relationship amidst Real Madrid rumours
Mbappe is reportedly set to inform PSG President Nasser Al Khelaifi of his decision personally, once he has made up his mind. After being convinced to stay the last time his deal was set to expire, things might turn out differently for the France captain this time around.
Le Parisien has also observed that PSG are now more reserved in their attempts to keep the player. They are no longer going out of their way to offer him a massive financial deal to get him to stay. Rather, they are planning for the future and are looking to bring in a young prolific attacker who could replace Kylian Mbappe at the club from next season onwards.
Real Madrid, on the other hand, will not offer him the same salary as they did two years ago when they made a €200 million offer for him. This time, Mbappe will join on their terms and will try to keep his relationship with the French club positive in the event of a departure at the end of the season.
