In an unexpected twist, users on social media platforms woke up to the hashtag #RIPTemperedGlass trending on platform X. This sudden surge in interest surrounding the phrase ‘RIP Tempered Glass’ was fueled by a wave of amusing memes centered around mobile screens and tempered glass, leaving many curious about the origin and significance of this viral hashtag.

All About the Honor X9b and #RIPTemperedGlass Trend

The trend appears to have originated from a post by Madhav Sheth, CEO of HTECH India, who intriguingly incorporated the hashtag in a recent tweet. Madhav’s post humorously likened purchasing tempered glass for a phone to hiring a bodyguard for the Incredible Hulk or applying a ceramic coating to a battle tank. This playful analogy suggested a potential end to the necessity of tempered glass, sparking speculation and humor across social media.

Following Madhav Sheth’s tweet, social media users enthusiastically joined the trend, sharing a plethora of memes using the #RIPTemperedGlass hashtag. These posts cleverly integrated scenes from movies and various pop culture references, humorously linking them to the vulnerability of mobile screens and the seemingly outdated need for tempered glass. This meme extravaganza not only intensified the trend but also contributed to the rapid spread of the hashtag, propelling it to become a trending topic overnight.

As the memes continued to flood in, discussions emerged regarding the potential implications of the trend. Speculation arose that Honor might be gearing up to unveil a new smartphone model, rumored to be the Honor X9B, featuring a remarkably durable screen that obviates the need for tempered glass.
