How to Move Money Between a Savings Account and a Home Loan Account?
It is advised that you continue to use ECS and NACH services instead of manually moving funds each month from your savings account to your home loan account. The bank might believe that you are making a prepayment on your loan when you make a manual money transfer. Therefore, unless there is a problem with the automated EMI payment system, you must notify the bank before making such a manual transfer.
To transfer funds from your savings account to the house loan account, take the following actions:
Step 1: Open SBI Netbanking and log in.
Step 2: Select the “Funds Transfer (Own SBI A/c)” option after clicking on the “Payments/Transfers” link at the top of the homepage.
Step 3: You will see a list of all of your SBI accounts. From the list, choose the home loan account number.
Step 4: Choose the purpose of the transfer from the drop-down box and enter the amount of the loan that you would like to transfer.
Step 5: Choose the payment option and the timeframe for the transfer, i.e., immediate payment or scheduling for a later date.
Step 6: Select “Submit” from the menu.
Step 7: The screen will show every detail you have entered. Check the details, and if everything appears to be correct, click “Confirm.”
Step 8: You’ll see a success message. Your savings account will be emptied and your loan account will be credited with the funds.
