However, it has now been confirmed that the Galaxy Ring is indeed on its way. While Samsung didn’t provide information about it during the event some previous leaks have given us some insights. Alongside showcasing their Samsung Galaxy S24 series, the conclusion of the Galaxy Unpacked 2024 event included a teaser that offered a glimpse into both the design and features of the upcoming Galaxy Ring. It showcased four contact points located on one side of its band and two raised ridges next, to them to help users position and wear it correctly. The design of the Galaxy Ring appears to draw inspiration from rings such, as Oura and Evie indicating that Samsung is positioning it to compete with these already established products.
Despite the limited details revealed by Samsung regarding the Galaxy Ring, the teaser video implied a strong synergy between the Galaxy Ring and the health and wellness features of the Galaxy S24 series. According to the health features disclosed during the event, it is anticipated that the Galaxy Ring will have the capability to monitor sleep apnea symptoms by tracking sleep patterns, SpO2 levels, and heart rate during sleep.
