The Premier League match between Luton Town and Bournemouth has been called off, after Luton captain Tom Lockyer collapsed on the field. As revealed by the Premier League in a statement, the player is awake and responsive, after being stretchered off.
The players walked off the pitch in the aftermath of the incident, and it seems likely that the game will be continued at a later date. The league body will officially confirm the next steps regarding the game in due course.

The visitors took the lead three minutes into the game through Adebayo, who could have added to his tally with the opportunities presented to him. But, Dominic Solanke added to his scoring tally this season by finding the back of the net for a ninth time this season to grab the equaliser.
Tom Lockyer also collapsed in the play off finals against Coventry in the summer, and this is the second time that such an incident has occured. A fresh medical report is expected from the club in the coming hours, after the initial response that he is responsive.
