Asus ROG Phone 8 and 8 Pro specifications leaked ahead of launch

The Asus ROG Phone 8 series‘ complete design and available color variations have been leaked by Windows Report. Full specifications for the forthcoming ROG phones are also leaked. But keep in mind that they are unofficial details, so proceed cautiously.

Asus ROG Phone 8 and 8 Pro specifications and design rumors

The next ROG Phone 8 and 8 Pro smartphones are part of Asus’s 2024 ROG portfolio, which will be unveiled on January 8 at CES in Las Vegas. The two devices, along with their primary specifications and accessories, are best seen in this recent leak from Windows Report. The upgraded camera island and flat frame of the ROG 8 and 8 Pro will be part of their new look.

The punch hole display, a first for the ROG Phone series, is the other significant design improvement. Because of this, Asus was able to reduce the bezels surrounding the panel, giving the phone a more contemporary appearance and a more compact design than the ROG Phone 7 series. The specifications of the ROG Phone 8 are 163.8 x 76.8 x 8.9 mm and 225 grams.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 CPU from Qualcomm, which supports 12GB LPDDR5X RAM, will be included in the ROG Phone 8 duo and will go up to 24GB on the ROG Phone 8 Pro. Both phones will come with extra storage—256GB on the base model and up to 1TB on the Pro—with UFS 4.0 storage. Both devices have the same RGB logo on their backs.

A 50MP primary camera (Sony IMX890) with a 13MP ultrawide lens and a new 32MP telephoto module with a 3x optical zoom are expected to be part of the new camera arrangement on the rear. A 32MP selfie camera is located inside the front punch hole cutout.
