Reliance Jio has recently introduced a brand recharge plan priced at ₹909 offering a wide range of benefits, for a duration of 84 days. This plan provides 5G data and 2GB of high-speed data every day along with 100 SMS messages per day. Moreover, subscribers also have access to OTT platforms like Sony Liv and Zee5. Additionally, the plan includes subscriptions to Jio apps such as JioCinema, JioTV, and JioCloud.
New Plans from Airtel and Jio:
Reliance Jio’s entertainment plan priced at ₹909 offers voice calls, 100 SMS messages, and a total of 168GB high-speed data valid for 84 days. After reaching the limit for data usage users can still enjoy unlimited data at a reduced speed of 40Kbps. Furthermore, subscribers get access to applications like Sony Liv and Zee5.
For customers choosing this recharge plan, they will also receive subscriptions to JioCinema, JioTV, and JioCloud. The plan ensures connectivity with coverage in the era of advanced technology. It’s important to note that the premium version of JioCinema is not included in the subscription.
Jio’s strategic move, in the plan category, follows their launch of a ₹808 plan ahead of the ICC World Cup in 2024. The initial proposal provided a plan, with data and voice calls capped at 2GB of data per day for a duration of 84 days. Additionally, it included a three-month subscription to Disney+Hotstar.
Jio encounters competition from telecom companies, like Airtel, Vi, and BSNL in the competitive market. Notably, Jio offers plans with a complimentary Netflix subscription, including the ₹1,099 plan with 2GB daily 5G data and the ₹1,499 plan with 3GB data daily, both valid for 84 days. Users can explore and choose these plans via the MyJio app, Jio website, or third-party mobile wallets.
Meanwhile, Bharti Airtel has quietly introduced a new prepaid plan at ₹1,499, featuring a Netflix Basic subscription and unlimited 5G data. This Airtel plan offers 3GB of data daily, unlimited calling, and 100 SMS per day for 84 days. Additionally, it provides three months of no-cost access to Apollo 24|7 Circle, free HelloTunes, and Wynk Music access. Airtel’s move follows a similar ₹1,499 prepaid plan by Reliance Jio, which also includes a Netflix subscription and unlimited 5G data, valid for 84 days.
