The All New NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 D

As previously disclosed exclusively by us, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 D Gaming GPU is set to make its debut in the Chinese gaming market. This GPU, designed in adherence to US regulations, will be a slightly modified version of the original RTX 4090. The original model faced restrictions in China due to its TPP (Total Processing Performance) rating surpassing 4800 points.

The TPP rating serves as a tool devised by US Commerce authorities to prevent China from accessing advanced chips that could potentially provide an advantage in AI computing. Consequently, NVIDIA is compelled to adjust the specifications for the GeForce RTX 4090, which is reported to feature a new Ada Lovelace GPU SKU known as the AD102-250—a scaled-down version of the AD102-300 GPU found in the RTX 4090.

The latest information sheds light on the clock speed of the GPU. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 D GPU is rumored to boast a base clock of 2280 MHz, an increase of 45 MHz compared to the RTX 4090. The boost clock remains consistent at 2520 MHz. While details regarding the core configuration and memory specifications are yet to be revealed, it is anticipated that the card will retain the 24 GB GDDR6X memory with over 1 TB/s of bandwidth and a TGP exceeding 400W.

Of significance is MEGAsizeGPU’s assertion that the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 D GPU remains on schedule. Despite recent stringent statements from the US Commerce Secretary, NVIDIA appears to be collaborating with US authorities to ensure compliance with the latest rules and regulations for their latest GPUs targeted at the Chinese market. In terms of pricing, the upcoming gaming GPU is expected to be priced similarly to the previous RTX 4090 model, with an MSRP of 12,999 RMB, equating to approximately $1800 USD.
