Mohammed Siraj has dropped down from rank #1 in ICC’s best ODI bowlers list. The Indian fast bowler climbed to the top just last week, displacing Pakistani pacer Shaheen Afridi with an impressive start. But since then, South African spinner Keshav Maharaj has ascended to the top with a remarkable display in his last three games.
The spinner took seven wickets in his last three games, including four against semi-finalists New Zealand. He registered a figure of 1/36 against India at the Eden Gardens, and also took two wickets against Afghanistan.

Both India and South Africa head into the semi finals, but the men in blue have been on another level altogether. Siraj is only three points behind Keshav Maharaj, having taken six wickets himself in the last three games. He is joined by teammates Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav in the top five.
On the other hand, the star of India’s win against South Africa, Ravindra Jadeja, comes in at 10th in ICC’s best ODI bowlers list.
India also dominates the best batters list, with Shubham Gill ranked number 1. Indian captain Rohit Sharma comes in at number five while Virat Kohli slipped to fourth in spite of his record 49th century.
After maintaining a 100% record in the group stage, India are the favourites to win the ICC World Cup for a third time, and a second time at home.
