Sony last year announced the introduction of the LYTIA, which focuses on HDR and autofocus, two essential imaging features that cover a wide range of shooting conditions. Sony Unveils First Range of LYTIA-Branded CIS Products for Smartphones

Enhancing the long-term focus on producing high-performing mobile image sensors is Sony’s LYTIA brand, which has been one of the major portfolio upgrades for Sony’s image sensor products.

The CIS products with the LYTIA brand further validate Sony’s decision to prioritize establishing 50MP as the optimal resolution for mobile image sensors over providing the industry with higher resolution CIS, like 100MP+.

The LYT900 and LYT800 image sensor products are designed for premium smartphones, while the LYT700 and LYT600 image sensor products are positioned for high-end and premium smartphone tiers, catering to telephoto, ultrawide, and rear wide applications.

These products are intended for use in smartphones that are classified as high to premium. For use with premium smartphones, the LYT500 is designed specifically for selfie camera apps. Particularly in the areas of wide, ultrawide, telephoto, and selfie applications, Sony hopes to fight fiercely in the multicamera market.
