iQOO is gearing up to launch the iQOO 12 series, which consists of two phones: the iQOO 12 and the iQOO 12 Pro. These smartphones will have their initial release in China, followed by an unveiling in India next month. While it’s confirmed that the vanilla iQOO 12 is coming to India, there is uncertainty regarding the iQOO 12 Pro’s availability in the Indian market.
These new models are the successors to the iQOO 11 series and will feature impressive specifications, including the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, up to 16GB of RAM, a triple camera setup on the rear, and more. iQOO 12 Launch Date and Availability in India
The iQOO 12 series is set to launch in China on November 7th, with the iQOO 12 scheduled for its Indian debut on December 12th. Following its official announcement in India, the vanilla iQOO 12 will be available for purchase on Amazon.
Based on the images released by the company, the iQOO 12 features a centrally positioned punch-hole cutout for the front camera, flat edges, and slim bezels. On the right edge of the device, you’ll find the volume and power buttons.
At the back of the iQOO 12, there’s a substantial square module housing three camera sensors, accompanied by an LED flash just outside the module. The back panel, especially in the Black variant, doesn’t appear to be made of glass. The phone’s frame exhibits a boxy design with curved edges. Additionally, a special edition model similar to the iQOO 11 Legend, themed around BMW Motorsport, is also hinted at in the poster.
iQOO 12 Series Specifications
The iQOO 12 series is expected to feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED display with a high 144Hz refresh rate and 3000nits peak brightness. Both models will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The iQOO 12 will likely have a 50MP primary camera with OIS, a 50MP ultrawide, and a 64MP telephoto lens, while the iQOO 12 Pro may offer similar specs along with a 64MP periscope telephoto camera. Both phones are expected to sport a 16MP front camera and offer storage options up to 1TB. They will run Android 14 with OriginOS and feature a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging support.
The iQOO 12 and iQOO 12 Pro will support three-dimensional dual stereo speakers and provide Hi-Res and Hi-Res wireless audio support. They will offer up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and storage options of up to 1TB using UFS 4.0.
Both models will have IP68 ratings for water and dust resistance, with the standard iQOO 12 having an IP64 rating and the Pro version featuring an IP68 rating. Furthermore, these phones will feature the largest ultra-wide vibration motor and employ a four-zone heat dissipation design, including a VC vapor chamber that is 40 percent larger than the previous series.
