Today, Apple formally launched both its new M3 series chipsets and new MacBook Pros powered by these chips, making them the fastest offering by Apple. Although Apple has stuck with the same ProXDR Mini-LED displays this time with no OLED just yet, it has made sure that the displays go even brighter.

The new 14-inch & 16-inch MacBook Pros have 20% brighter displays

Well, though the change isn’t that significant, according to Apple’s technical specifications, the most recent 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro models can reach up to 600 nits of peak brightness for SDR video, a 20% improvement over the prior models’ maximum of 500 nits. All the models can reach the same maximum brightness of 1,600 nits for HDR content.

“The Liquid Retina XDR display is the world’s best laptop display, with an exceptional 1000 nits sustained and 1600 nits of peak brightness for HDR content, an impressive contrast ratio, vivid colors, and an outstanding viewing angle,” Apple said. “SDR content is now displayed at up to 600 nits, which is 20 percent brighter than before.”

Starting today, buyers may place orders for the new MacBook Pro models, which will start to arrive and be available in retailers on Tuesday, November 7. In India, these models have a starting price of Rs. 1,69,900.
