Apple will reportedly bring new iMac to its upcoming event

Following some speculation, a report claims that new Mac gadgets will be released before the end of the year. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is most likely to release its new Mac Models during its upcoming Apple event.

The launch may include numerous 24-inch iMac combinations, as well as new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models. The event is only a week away, but the fact that it has yet to be publicly announced may make it one of the tech giant’s shortest announcement-to-launch event cycles.

According to Gurman’s assessment, Apple’s iMacs and MacBook Pros are in “extremely short supply online and at retail stores,” with shipping delays stretching into mid-November. According to historical tendencies, this delay could be a strong indication that Apple will launch new items.

Apple was supposed to increase its iPad portfolio, with announcements likely on October 17. That expectation, however, did not come true. Instead, what we got was a less expensive option for the Apple Pencil 2nd Generation.

Its over 900 days, Apple needs an iMac refresh

These two factors combined make a Mac launch event at the end of the month very likely. To add to the excitement, Gurman provided additional details about the products that could be released. The focus of this event is likely to be a new 24-inch iMac, as it is one of the only products in the Mac portfolio that still operates on the MI processor.

Apart from the gradual processing boost, the MacBook Pro models are not likely to receive any big updates this time. Gurman previously speculated that next MacBook Pro models could be outfitted with M3 Pro and M3 Max chipsets.

However, that launch was projected to take place in March-April 2024, so it will be shocking if Apple makes the announcement during this event. A more reasonable upgrade would be to bring performance and optimization enhancements to the M2 Pro and M2 Max. Likewise, no changes to its design or other hardware components are anticipated at this time.
