The Nervy Start in the Archery Final

The Indian archers got off to a nervy start in the final match. Both Parneet and Aditi began with a score of 9 each, while Jyothi maintained her composure and delivered a flawless 10. On the other hand, the archers from Chinese Taipei managed two 10s, but a 7 on their final shot handed India a critical advantage. Unfortunately, India couldn’t capitalize on this opportunity as Parneet shot an 8, while Aditi and Jyothi scored 9 each. Chinese Taipei archers seized this chance, landing two 10s and a 9 to take a two-point lead in the first End.

The Intense Battle Continues

As the competition intensified in the second End, Jyothi once again showcased her prowess with a perfect 10. Parneet and Aditi contributed with 9s. However, the archers from Chinese Taipei demonstrated remarkable consistency, firing three consecutive 10s, widening their lead to four points. Under immense pressure, Parneet and Aditi bounced back, delivering a flawless performance, earning India its first perfect 30 in the final. With Taipei shooting 10, 10, and 7 in their final three shots, India gained a crucial one-point lead (112-111).

A Thrilling Showdown

The next two Ends witnessed an exchange of excellent archery from both sides. Chinese Taipei archers maintained their precision with a perfect score of 60, while India responded with a close 59. Parneet was the only one to miss the bullseye among the six archers. The scores remained tied at 171-apiece after the third End, setting the stage for an electrifying conclusion.
