Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will be released exclusively on PS5 on February 29, 2024, according to PlayStation’s newest State of Play. The trailer for the game’s release date was jam-packed with fascinating sequences, such as the Chocobo Jockey Room, Cloud riding an electric scooter, large-scale boss battles, and appearances from fan-favorite characters.
If the trailer has piqued your interest, you can now preorder Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth from major retailers such as Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, GameStop, and Target. Amazon and Best Buy are two merchants that feature special preorder bonuses. Preorders for the Deluxe Edition are now available at Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, GameStop, and Target.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will be available in a variety of formats, including a nice Deluxe edition with a few goodies and a very expensive Collector’s edition only to the Square Enix Store. For those who haven’t yet experienced Final Fantasy 7 Remake, a new digital-only Twin Pack will combine FF7 Remake Intergrade with Rebirth. Preordering the Twin Pack costs $70, so you’re practically receiving FF7 Remake for nothing. At launch, the price will rise to $100.
Preorders for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth include the Midgar Bangle Mk. II armor bracelet. If you have Final Fantasy 7 Remake save data, you can also get bonus material. Summon Materia: Leviathan is unlocked by remaking save files from PS4 or PS5, whereas the Intermission DLC save file unlocks Ramuh is the Summon Materia.
The standard version of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is available for presale for $70 in physical format through Amazon, Best Buy, and Target. Remember when major games like the original Final Fantasy 7 were released on many discs for the PlayStation 1? Rebirth is the first PS5 game to require two discs (expect it to take up a significant amount of storage space).
The main game, a hardback art book, a tiny soundtrack, and a steelbook case are all included in the $100 Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Deluxe edition. Preorders are currently available at most major retailers, including Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, GameStop, and Target. If you preorder from Best Buy, you’ll receive two steelbook cases, but don’t worry, they’re not the same.
The Collector’s Edition of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is exclusively available for presale through the Square Enix Store. The Collector’s edition includes a 19-inch Sephiroth statue in addition to all of the Deluxe version features.
