OPPO recently provided a sneak peek of its upcoming foldable smartphone, the OPPO Find N3. This device is set for a launch in China and selected global markets. In line with this, OnePlus is also entering the foldable market with its inaugural offering, named OnePlus Open. This product is expected to be based on the upcoming Find N3 and is projected to be introduced by the end of Q3 2023. A recent report disclosed that OnePlus has opted for Samsung’s display technology over BOE due to quality concerns.
The All New Oppo Find N3
The forthcoming Find N3 smartphone was recently spotted on the 3C certification platform, where details about its fast-charging capabilities were revealed. Additionally, it was observed in Thailand’s NBTC certification, indicating a global launch. Renowned tipster Mukul Sharma has also identified the foldable device within the IMEI database, suggesting that its launch is imminent.
The IMEI listing not only indicates the device’s proximity to release but also confirms its model number, CPH2499, as previously validated by the NBTC certification. This certification also unveiled the moniker of the impending foldable smartphone. However, neither the IMEI database listing nor the NBTC certification divulges further specifications of the upcoming device. Meanwhile, the 3C certification referred to the model number PHN110 and disclosed possible charger options: VCB7CBCH, VCB7CACH, and VCBAUACH.
Although the first two chargers offer power outputs of 5V/3A (15W) and 11V/6.1A (67W), it’s unlikely that either will accompany the upcoming device. Instead, OPPO is expected to equip it with a dual-port charger, VCBAUACH, boasting a USB Type-C port and Type-A port. This charger is anticipated to provide a rated power output of 11V/9.1A (100W) and 20V/5A (100W).
The listing also confirms the support for power delivery and USB-PD, offering power outputs of 5V/3A (15W), 9V/3A (27W), 12V/3A (36W), 15V/3A (45W), and 20V/3.25A (65W). Previous leaks have hinted at the device’s features, including a spacious 8-inch OLED display with QHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Furthermore, there is speculation about a smaller 6.5-inch OLED display.
Under the hood, the device is expected to house the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, accompanied by up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Funtouch OS 13, based on Android 13, will grace the smartphone. The camera setup is predicted to comprise a triple-rear system, with a 50MP primary camera featuring OIS, a 48MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 32MP periscope lens. The device’s front is expected to house a 32MP selfie camera situated within a centered punch-hole on the display. A substantial 4800mAh battery is said to power the smartphone.
