Even while the successor to the Nintendo Switch hasn’t been formally announced, it seems increasingly plausible that it will arrive in the first few months of 2024 based on the latest information.

According to Notebook Check and MoneyDJ, Chinese manufacturer PixArt revealed in its most recent financial report that a new console from a Japanese company for which they are supplying parts will release in early 2024.

PixArt provided the SoC powering the JoyCon sensors as well as other parts for previous Nintendo home consoles such as the Wii and the Wii U.

While the PixArt report does not specifically mention the new Nintendo Switch, it is highly likely that the Chinese manufacturer is referring to the yet-to-be-revealed console, given that it is the only Japanese company that hasn’t released a new system in years, ruling out Sony entirely.

This isn’t the first time a Chinese corporation has hinted to a Nintendo Switch release date in early 2024. Hongzhun, a metal case manufacturer, stated earlier this month that they anticipate an increase in sales in the second half of the year as a result of Nintendo’s plans to deliver a new console in the first quarter of 2024.

As previously said, Nintendo has not revealed anything regarding the Nintendo Switch successor. President Shuntaro Furukawa indicated in May that no new hardware would be introduced before the end of the current fiscal year, which ends on March 31, 2024. However, because the devkits are reportedly already in the hands of chosen developers, we should anticipate additional details about the console to arrive very soon.
