Atalanta have sealed the transfer of Almeria striker El Bilal Toure for a club record fee worth €28 million upfront plus €3 million in add-ons. Almeria have also included a sell-on clause, through which they are entitled to 15% of any future fee that La Dea receives for the striker.
The deal between the two clubs has been finalised and it is now only a matter of time before his arrival is confirmed by Atalanta. They have signed the 21-year-old as the replacement for Rasmus Hojlund, who looks increasingly likely to leave the club this summer.
Both Manchester United and PSG are battling it out for his signature. And while a clear winner hasn’t emerged yet, it seems likely that one of the two clubs will sign the Danish forward in the coming weeks.
El Bilal Toure to join Atalanta for record fee
Everton were interested in signing the Mali international as well, but have been beaten to his signature by Atalanta. The striker scored seven goals and provided two assists in 21 La Liga games this past season.
He stands 6 feet tall, with his pace as his main attribute. He could be the successor to Jeremie Boga, or Ademola Lookman, and could thrive in a partnership with a physical striker like Duvan Zapata.
El Bilal Toure clocked in a top speed of 35 km/h so far in his career. And with a free-flowing side like that of Gian Piero Gasperini, he could prove to be an influential player in the Serie A this season.
