The Harry Kane transfer saga continues to develop, with reports of PSG now entering the race coming to the forefront. The Parisians are in the market for a new first-choice striker, having played Kylian Mbappe in the position all this while.
With the Frenchman eager to play out wide, PSG will need a reliable goalscorer through the middle to build their attack up. They have been linked with strikers like Dusan Vlahovic and Victor Osimhen of the Serie A as well, but have not yet made an offer for them. Now, Kane has emerged as a potential option for them with the England captain having only one year left on his deal with Tottenham.
Harry Kane now attracting interest from PSG
Rumours suggest that the 29-year-old has been offered a €500,000 per week extension by Tottenham. However, he has not accepted their offer to stay on at the club yet amidst interest from some of the biggest clubs in the world.
Bayern Munich have been in the race for the last few weeks, having two offers worth €70 million and €80 million rejected for the striker. They are expected to be back with an offer worth €100 million as well, rivalling PSG for his signature since they also need a new first-choice striker.
Harry Kane’s stance on the matter remains unknown, especially considering how reluctant Spurs are to sell him. He will not be playing European football this year, and this might be the last chance for the forward to earn a move to a club that can win trophies. The current condition of Tottenham does not suggest that they will be in that position anytime soon, which would do a great disservice to a striker of Kane’s talents.
The forward has returned to pre-season training with Tottenham, and has always been respectful with the club. As a result, it seems unlikely that he will be forcing a move away.
