The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 are anticipated to be announced at the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 26 and are currently available for pre-reservations in India. Several leaks in recent months have already provided extensive details about the upcoming foldable phones.
Most recently, an online video showcasing the dummy units of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 has emerged, revealing its design. The video displays a foldable phone with an external display in the shape of a folder and a noticeable hinge gap. Similar to the previous model, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 appears to include a fingerprint sensor.

Leakspinner (via SlashLeaks) shared a hands-on video and images of the dummy units of the Galaxy Z Flip 5, suggesting a design language similar to last year’s Galaxy Z Flip 4. However, it features a significantly larger folder-shaped cover display with two camera modules. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 was widely anticipated to have a water drop-style hinge design to eliminate the gap when folded, but the video reveals a distinct gap in the clamshell foldable.
On the right edge of the Galaxy Z Flip 5, the volume rocker and power button with an integrated fingerprint reader are positioned, while the SIM card tray is seen on the left side. A USB Type-C port is visible at the bottom. These design elements align with previous leaks, although it is important to approach these leaked images with caution.
The Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event is scheduled for July 26 at 4:30 pm IST and will be live-streamed on the company’s website and YouTube channel. Pre-reservations for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 are currently being accepted in India.
Expected specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 include running on Android 13 with One UI 5.1.1. It might feature a 6.7-inch full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED main display with a variable refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a 3.4-inch outer screen with an adaptive refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz. The device could be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC coupled with 8GB of RAM.
The Galaxy Z Flip 5 is rumored to come with storage options of 265GB and 512GB. Its camera setup may consist of a 12-megapixel primary camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide shooter, and a 10-megapixel selfie camera. A 3,700mAh battery is expected to be housed in the Galaxy Z Flip 5.
