Xavi Simons’ future remains uncertain, after it was revealed that the release clause in his contract is only €6 million. The Dutch youngster is currently at PSV Eindhoven, and rumours suggesting a return to PSG have grown over the last few weeks.
The decision is fully up to the player, and as things stand, a move back to PSG seems unlikely. He joined PSV Eindhoven last summer, and has had an exceptional debut campaign in the Netherlands. The Amsterdam-born midfielder has a contract until June 2027, but rumours linking him to a bigger European club have run rampant for months.
Xavi Simons’ future remains uncertain with €6 million release clause
In 48 appearances for PSV Eindhoven this past season, the 20-year-old has scored 22 goals and provided 12 assists across all competitions. He has played 3800 minutes, and has attracted interest from some of the best clubs in Europe like Arsenal, apart from PSG.
The youngster has also earned four caps for the Dutch national team, and is set to have a very bright future ahead of him. Xavi Simons is rated €40 million on the transfer market, but the release clause will see him move for much less. The decision over where he will play next is completely up to the player, given he even wants to move this summer.
