The paper delves into the impact of 5G on job creation and skill development in the tech talent pool. The majority of respondents—80%—identified information technology and banking and financial services as the principal beneficiaries of 56, citing the potential for growth and innovation in these industries.

The paper also underlines the impact that 5G is predicted to have in areas such as BFSI (60%), education (48%), gaming (48%), retail and e-commerce (46%), and others.

According to the survey, there is a 28% demand-supply gap in the telecom business, stressing the importance of upskilling and reskilling activities. To close this gap, it is critical to provide the current workforce with the required skills and expertise to meet the industry’s changing demands.

According to the report, 88% of employees prefer to learn new skills. Furthermore, 11.296 employees favour reskilling, creating openings in the labour market for new people.

The paper also discusses the influence of 5G on employment creation in the next years. Year over year, 46% of participants expect job creation ranging from 61% to 80% within the first year of 5G implementation. Furthermore, 41 96 respondents predict that the 5G rollout will have a major influence on job creation of more than 80% during the next three years. Within the next five years, 50% of respondents expect an impact of 80% to 100%.

5G’s speed and reliability are predicted to transform work practises and talent acquisition. Individuals must embrace early upskilling activities and build skills to get a competitive edge in the 5G ecosystem. According to the report, early adopters of upskilling will be able to better navigate the expanding job market, grasp emergent jobs, and drive innovation in the 5G future.
