The Nothing Phone 2 is set to feature a larger display than its predecessor, with an increase of 0.15 inches compared to the 6.55-inch screen of the previous model. This indicates that the Nothing Phone 2 will boast a 6.7-inch AMOLED panel offering FHD+ resolution.

In terms of battery capacity, a tweet from Nothing reveals that the upcoming handset will house a battery that is 200 mAh larger than the 4,500 mAh battery found in the Nothing Phone 1. Consequently, the Nothing Phone 1 is expected to come with a 4,700 mAh battery. This information has also been confirmed by the company’s CEO.

Additionally, Nothing claims that despite the increased display size and battery capacity, the carbon footprint of the Nothing Phone 2 is 53.4 kg, which is over 5 kg lower than its predecessor. The company proudly states that the Nothing Phone 2 incorporates three times the amount of recycled or bio-based components compared to the Phone 1. Furthermore, the upcoming smartphone will be packaged in a plastic-free retail box made from over 60 percent recycled fiber.

Under the hood, the Nothing Phone 2 is set to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 SoC, ensuring high-performance capabilities. As previously mentioned, the smartphone will receive three years of Android updates and four years of security updates, matching the software support provided for the Nothing Phone 1. With these exciting specifications and commitment to sustainability, the forthcoming Nothing Phone 2 is shaping up to be a compelling option for smartphone enthusiasts worldwide.
