The Kerala Story Controversy Unveiled: 32,000 Girls vs. 3 Girls!
The Kerela Story is based on a true story based on 32,000 women missing from Kerala. But the controversy lies here, the description of the trailer of the movie earlier claimed 32,000 women from Kerala had joined the terror group ISIS, but now the fact has changed to the ‘true stories of three young girls from different parts of Kerala’.
The producers have faced much criticism for wrongly projecting the facts but after that, the makers of the movie have made the changes that are required to be done. As per the data provided by the Union Home Ministry, 62 Indian youths have been identified who had joined ISIS since the year 2014.
Congress MP Shashi Tharoor who questioned the controversial claims of ‘The Kerala Story’ now says he rests his case as the filmmakers have updated the movie’s description. The teaser of the movie was released on November 2022 and still, the makers of the movie say that it is ‘Heartbreaking and gut-wrenching stories of 32000 females in Kerala!’
Now, we have to watch whether The Kerela Story is finally going to be released as the makers planned or if it has to go through a tough censor call. In order to see that we have to wait until the movie releases.
