Paulo Dybala has been one of Roma’s best performers this season. He was almost single-handedly responsible for helping them progress to the semi finals of the Europa League, with his last-minute equaliser against Feyenoord.

In 34 games across all competitions, he has scored 16 goals and provided eight assists, which is a remarkable return. Roma are close to qualifying for the Champions League, and also have a solid chance of getting their hands on the Europa League, a year after they won the Europa Conference League.

The Argentine made the move to the Italian capital this summer on a free transfer after leaving Juventus. And now, his release clause has come to the forefront which is different for clubs in Italy and abroad.

For another Serie A team to sign him, the clause is valued at €20 million. However, Roma will have the option to reject the triggering of the clause by offering him a better salary of €6 million per season. On the other hand, foreign clubs will be able to sign him for €12 million.

Paulo Dybala’s contract with Roma runs until 2025, which means the club is not under any pressure to sell him. And considering how effective he has been for the team, it seems unlikely that he will want to part ways with them especially given that they have almost returned to the Champions League.
