Samsung Galaxy S24 base variant to feature much awaited Exynos 2400 SoC

Samsung appears to be returning to Exynos with the Samsung Galaxy S24 series after a year of only using Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in all regions. To test the waters, this won’t be a full-fledged run but rather a short one. We have heard a lot about the Exynos 2400 over the past few weeks, and each new piece of information confirms that Samsung is indeed developing a new SoC, which has a good chance of being used in the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24.

The information provided today is a rumour rather than a confirmation, and it suggests that the base Samsung Galaxy S24 variant may use the Exynos 2400 in some areas while the Plus and Ultra variants will both have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy.

It’s also reported that the Samsung Galaxy S24 will only use the Exynos 2400 in a few locations.

We are still unsure as to which ones, but it seems safe to assume that Samsung would pick the ones that see the highest sales of smartphones. According to some recent data, the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Ultra sold the most units, with the Plus model selling the fewest. We are unable to confirm the rumours that Samsung will discontinue the Plus model in 2019.

To be completely honest, the idea of the Exynos 2400 is exciting and this might be Samsung’s chance to shine once more. lets hope that the chipset is exceptional in terms of performance and can at least match, if not surpass, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. Although we recognise that Samsung has struggled with its products, the Samsung Galaxy S24 and Exynos 2400 may mark a turning point for the South Korean company.
