As the launch nears, Google Pixel Fold leaks have begun to appear more often. At the I/O event on May 10, the first Google foldable phone will probably be unveiled. Google hasn’t made any public statements on the introduction of its first Pixel foldable phone.
However, based on the number of leaks, it appears that the Pixel Fold’s release is imminent. A live video exposing the Pixel Fold’s display information has been added to the leaks.
The Pixel Fold’s cover and folding display details were unveiled in the live video that a Twitter user uploaded. The foldable display is encircled by quite substantial bezels at the top and bottom, as shown in the real-world footage. In contrast, the side bezels appear to be a little bit thinner. The front camera of the Google Pixel Fold is carved out with a hole punch at the top center of the device.
The Pixel Fold’s bezels that surround the cover display are not clearly visible in the video. Additionally, it makes no confirmations on the design of the camera module or the rear panel. However, because of the rumors, a lot of information regarding the Pixel Fold’s features and design has been posted online. Before it is released, let’s look at the Google Pixel Fold’s features, specs, and other information.
Google Pixel Fold Rumored Specs
Design visuals of the Google Pixel Fold that surfaced online months ago showed that the foldable phone would have relatively thick bezels around the cover display. The OLED foldable screen is rumoured to have a diagonal size of 7.6 inches and a 6:5 aspect ratio.
Its resolution is 2208×1840 pixels, and its PPI is 380. The Full HD+ cover display is reportedly 5.8 inches and has a 17:9 aspect ratio from the exterior. The refresh rate for the foldable and cover displays will be 120Hz.
In contrast to the Pixel 7 series, the rear panel includes a protruding camera bar. The foldable phone will have a 48-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.7 aperture and OIS capability, according to a new tip. There will also be a 10.8MP ultra-wide camera with a 121.1-degree field of view and an f/2.2 aperture. The 10.8MP dual PD telephoto camera will also feature 5x optical zoom and have an f/3.05 aperture. The foldable display’s top bezel will house an 8MP front camera, while the cover display will include a 9.5MP f/2.2 front camera.
It has been speculated that Google’s Tensor G2 SoC will power the Pixel Fold. The device will have up to 512GB of storage and 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM. Under the hood, you’ll find a powerful battery. The leaker did not specify how much battery life the Pixel Fold would have, although it was supposed to be more than 24 hours. According to the source, the base model Pixel Fold 256GB will retail for $1,799, while the base model Pixel Fold 512GB would set you back $1,919.
