Carlos Pena has officially announced his departure from FC Goa as their head coach. The manager posted a message on Twitter to confirm that he will no longer be in charge of the club.
Goa finished seventh in the table, three points away from the playoff spots. In the Hero Super Cup, his side finished second in Group C. Pena remains a fan favourite for his contributions as a player, and Goa will now look to bring in a new manager ahead of the 2023 season.

“I feel very lucky and proud to have been a part as a player and now as a coach, becoming part of the short but intense history of this club.Thanks to the players, staff and workers of the club for each of the moments that we have shared together and for the delivery and dedication that you have shown at all times of the season. All the memories we have done together will remain forever inside us.And finally, dear fans: thank you for your unconditional support and for the love you have given me and my family. You will always hold a special place in my heart,” Carlos Pena wrote on Twitter.
