Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple, was in India and recently inaugurated the country’s first two Apple stores in addition to meeting prominent citizens of the nation. Tim Cook visited Sunil Bharti Mittal, the chairman and founder of Bharti Enterprises, a day after Apple launched its second store in the nation in Delhi’s Saket neighbourhood.

On the morning of April 21, the two met for an hour. In addition to expressing their happiness with the continued partnership between Airtel and Apple, Cook, and Mittal reaffirmed their commitment to collaborating more closely in the Indian and African markets. Cook met Mittal just before his journey came to an end. Prior to this, Cook had meetings with Manoj Modi, chairman of Reliance Retail and Reliance Jio, as well as Mukesh Ambani, son Akash Ambani, and daughter Isha Ambani of Reliance Industries. Tim Cook also had a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi during which they spoke about a variety of subjects, including the technological changes that are transforming the nation. The badminton champions Saina Nehwal, Srikanth Kidambi, Chirag Shetty, and Parupalli Kashyap, as well as actors Madhuri Dixit and Sonam Kapoor, with whom Cook watched the Kolkata Knight Riders vs. Delhi Capitals IPL 2023 match, were also met by Cook.
He also met a tonne of inventors, including those behind the dictionary app LookUp, the AR-based yoga app Prayoga, and the cricket app Hitwicket. Award-winning sci-fi director Arati Kadav was another person Cook met. The National Crafts Museum and Hastkala Academy in Delhi, as well as the Lodhi Art District, were both visited by the Apple CEO.
He went to the Akanksha Foundation and the Indian School of Design & Innovation in Mumbai. Cook also met musicians Sandeep Ranade from AI-music app Naadsadhana and Maalavika Manoj aka Mali, who sang “Mile Sur Mera Tumhara” for him. Kiddopia is an award-winning learning software for preschoolers. Cook attended the opening ceremonies for the Apple stores in Mumbai’s BKC and Delhi’s Saket, despite his busy schedule.
