Anderson Talisca has decided to extend his contract with Al-Nassr, as officially confirmed by the club. The forward is currently the top scorer in the Saudi Pro League alongside former Manchester United striker Odion Ighalo, both of whom have scored 16 goals in the league.
Talisca’s new contract runs until 2026, and he has seemingly put aside his hard feelings with Cristiano Ronaldo following a small run-in between the two.
Anderson Talisca renews contract with Al-Nassr
Cristiano Ronaldo’s first goal for Al-Nassr came from the penalty spot after he took the ball off of his teammate. Talisca reportedly sent an angry message to Ronaldo after the incident, but remains in the same line-up, and is helping the team mount a league title challenge.
Anderson Talisca made the move to Al-Nassr in 2021, after impressing in Turkey and China. In his debut season, he scored 20 goals and has been an important player ever since.
Al-Nassr have been linked with several veteran players from Europe including Sergio Busquets and Luka Modric. But, both of them have not committed to a contract with the Saudi club as of yet. There are also rumours that Jose Mourinho could be recruited from Roma to manage the Saudi team, however the Special One remains committed to the Giallorossi for the time being.
