Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Manu Kone has a good chance of leaving this summer to join a big European club. The player has been quite impressive, and could now make the step up to one of the elites in the continent.
Chelsea are currently leading the race for the 2001-born midfielder, while Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are also in the conversation. There isn’t anything advanced negotiated with Gladbach, so the transfer situation is still very open as things stand.
Manu Kone expected to make big move in the summer
The Frenchman has been with Gladbach since the summer of 2021, having joined them from Toulouse. He had an offer from AC Milan at the time as well, but rejected them to play regular football with the Foals.
Over the last one and a half years, he has shown remarkable development. Not only is he physically strong, but he is also fast and has great vision. As a result, he is quickly being sought after by clubs in search of top talent.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the price tag for Manu Kone could be in the region of €50 million, which is almost double his market value. The France U21 player will have two years remaining on his contract at the end of the season, so it could be a good time for Borussia Monchengladbach to cash in, unless they strongly want him to be a part of the squad for the future.
