The Premier League Hall of Fame will be returning this week, as officially confirmed on their website. There will be five new inductees this season, two of which will be revealed on Wednesday, 29 March.
The next day, a shortlist of 15 former players will be announced. Fans from all over the world will be able to vote for the three other inductees from this shortlist. This can be done through the Premier League app, as well as their official website.
Premier League Hall of Fame 2023: New names arriving this week
The final three inductees will be revealed on 3rd May. It will be decided by a combination of fan votes, as well as votes from the Premier League Awards Panel and previous inductees into the Hall of Fame.
Since its inception in 2021, the Premier League Hall of Fame is considered the highest honour that can be given by the English top flight. There are only two requirements for players to be considered. First, they must be retired. And secondly, only their Premier League careers will be considered.
The players that are inducted into the hall of fame will be given a special commemorative medallion. They will also be given £10,000 to donate to a charity of their choice.
