Tottenham Hotspur have officially parted ways with Antonio Conte, after his explosive post-match press conference. The Italian has left by mutual consent, and Spurs are now on the lookout for a new permanent manager.

They have currently decided that Cristian Stellini will be in charge until the end of the season. Former first team, and youth manager Ryan Mason will work as his assistant during this time.

Conte lamented the mentality at the club, and criticised the lack of trophies over the last twenty years. He also tore into his own players, and called them selfish on the pitch. After reports that he had lost the dressing room, the board has now decided to move on from the Italian after doubts over his future at the club.

As things stand, the plan is to have a new head coach in place next season only. Stellini had a remarkable time in charge of the first team, and will be trusted with the first team once again. It remains to be seen whether he will be able to guide the club to a top four finish after Antonio Conte’s departure.

Former Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino, Julian Nagelsmann and Luis Enrique are among the other options available to Fabio Paratici. Thomas Tuchel was one of the names on the list, but he has joined Bayern instead.
