Cricket lovers are excited because the ICC World Cup is on the way. With the grand cricket tournament set to be held in October, the BCCI has assured ICC that the VISA clearance for the Pakistan cricket team will be cleared by the Indian government.
Pakistan to play in ICC World Cup 2023 in India, VISA clearance ensured from BCCI
Reports suggest with the Indian government now clearing the Visas; the Pakistan team is open to visiting India and being a part of the prestigious ICC World Cup 2023. The two rivals are always at loggerheads for reasons. However, the hosts have decided to make great provisions for their neighbours to visit the country and be a part of the tournament.
The BCCI and PCB had a few things going on between them regarding Pakistan hosting the Asia Cup and India’s participation in it. BCCI cleared it earlier that by any means, India will not be travelling to Pakistan for the tournament, following which BCCI proposed to select a neutral venue for the tournament.
Initially, the PCB threatened to step back from the ICC World Cup in case India didn’t visit Pakistan to participate in Asia Cup 2023. Last weekend, the ICC had quarterly meetings where BCCI assured the sport’s global body that the Indian government would clear the Pakistan team Visas.
India, the hosts!
