Real Madrid have reportedly made first contact with Jude Bellingham and his family for a transfer in the summer. A representative from the club travelled to Dortmund this past week to discuss a move with his father, who is also his agent.
The Spanish giants are aware that they face competition from Manchester City and Liverpool to try and sign him. But, they have placed the teenager at the top of their transfer list for the summer and want him to be the face of their midfield for the future. The only disadvantage is that they cannot spend as much money as the other parties involved.
Jude Bellingham to Real Madrid: Transfer in motion?
The transfer fee being discussed for the England international is in the region of €130 million. However, the wage could be a deciding factor in whether the move will go through. In addition, he will have to be persuaded to sign for Los Blancos, while snubbing two of the biggest English clubs in the world.
Liverpool are at risk of missing out on Champions League football, which could be a detriment to their transfer business this summer. City, on the other hand, have no shortage of talent in midfield but could use Jude Bellingham as a long-term anchor in their squad.
Borussia Dortmund are also trying to get him to sign a new contract and keep him beyond the summer. However, they have not been able to reach a breakthrough in negotiations just yet.
