Tata Motors is getting set to release a significant facelift for the well-liked Nexon compact SUV, whose disguised test mules have already been sighted on the roads. An improved Nexon has been spotted testing once more, but this time with a little less concealment, displaying a little more detail.

A new petrol engine will also be installed under the hood of the upgraded Nexon, along with extensive visual improvements, significant interior and equipment upgrades, and other adjustments.

The All-new Tata Nexon!

It won’t be until 2024 at the earliest that the Nexon facelift will be released in stores. The cost will be more than the present model, which ranges from ₹7.80 to ₹14.30 lakh. After it is released, it will continue to compete with vehicles such as the Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, Kia Sonet, Nissan Magnite, and Maruti Brezza.

Infotainment and Interior

Although the interior has not yet been seen, we can anticipate a completely revised dashboard with a new 10.25-inch touchscreen as its centrepiece. This new infotainment screen was just introduced by Tata Motors on the Harrier and Safari, and we are aware that it will soon be offered across the entire lineup of the automaker. This might be one of the most significant equipment upgrades for the Nexon makeover, coupled with a new digital instrument cluster.

Engine Options

Major improvements are anticipated for the engine as well, with the new generation 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine being the most significant. Tata showed this engine with the Curvv ICE concept at the 2023 Auto Expo. The Nexon’s current 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, which generates 120 horsepower and 170 pound-feet of torque, has been replaced by this one, which generates 125 horsepower and 225 pound-feet.

It is anticipated that the 110hp, 1.5-litre diesel engine would remain in place. Manual and AMT gears are already available for the Nexon, although it is unknown if they will change for the facelifted variant with the upgraded petrol engine.
