A fourth NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 GPU variant, could release in the future, offering users another variant of the graphics cards, especially with this popular series, according to information discovered by Twitter user T4C Fantasy and custodian of the TechPowerUp GPU database.

Currently, graphics card prices are slowly declining, but most newer cards remain expensive. Most users are returning to previous generations to upgrade their machines, especially when the price is reasonable and the performance is adequate for modern gaming.

The new NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 graphics card is said to have the GA104 GPU onboard and to use GDDR6X memory.

If this rumour is true, this new card will join three other RTX 3060 graphics cards that are currently on the market. It’s unclear whether the last mentioned graphics card, the newly discovered NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 GPU with 12 GB GDDR6X, will be available globally or in specific regions. This is more common with NVIDIA than with other companies, where custom designs are only available in certain areas, such as the Chinese market.

Regardless of where it is released, the new graphics card will outperform the other three thanks to the addition of GDDR6X memory. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti is the only other card in the RTX 3060 series to support GDDR6X memory. It has been reported that it provides a 36% increase in memory bandwidth over previous models.

Because NVIDIA has not officially revealed the new graphics card to the public, this news will remain a rumour for the time being. Engineering samples that have posted validations on GPU-Z are well known to have a percentage of not becoming actual products. It could be something NVIDIA is testing or an unknown GPU that will never see the light of day.
